# Cleared for kickoff: Delta adds extra flights and increases capacity for college football season

Delta is adding and upgrading dozens of flights across September through November, connecting fans to marquee matchups like **Clemson at LSU, Notre Dame/Wisconsin at Lambeau Field, Texas at Tennessee, Ohio State at Texas, USC at Florida, Alabama at LSU**, and many more.

Fall Saturdays are calling, and Delta is answering by adding more than 40 nonstop flights and 27 aircraft upgauges to college football’s most anticipated games of the 2026 season. From powerhouse southeast showdowns to legendary rivalries and primetime matchups at iconic stadiums, Delta is making it easier for fans to follow their teams wherever the season takes them.

Whether it’s a fly-in on Friday and a victory flight home on Sunday, or a longer trip, Delta has fans covered with convenient flight times.

“College football fans plan their entire fall around these games, and we take that just as seriously,” said Amy Martin – Vice President, Network Planning. “From the biggest rivalries in the southeast to bucket list matchups like Notre Dame at Lambeau, we’re adding nearly 10,000 total seats and larger aircraft this season, because showing up for your team should be the easiest part of game day.”

### **More seats to the games that matter most**

Delta’s seasonal boost includes:

- New Friday and Sunday nonstop service to top game-day destinations tied to high-demand matchups

- Larger aircraft and additional frequencies on popular routes across the Southeast, Midwest and beyond

- Additional service from not just college towns, but important alumni cities to allow additional access for fans looking to cheer their alma mater on in person

- Convenient schedules designed around weekend kickoffs and fan travel patterns

From tailgates in Baton Rouge and Athens to primetime under the lights in Austin, Ann Arbor and South Bend, Delta’s robust network and expanded fall schedule reflects where fans want to be most.

### **Built for fans and their game-day rituals**

With Delta’s industry-leading operational reliability, onboard Wi-Fi for SkyMiles members to check scores across the country and premium seating options for every kind of traveler, fans can focus less on logistics and more on game-day experience.

When it comes to college football, Delta knows one thing for sure: the best seats shouldn’t stop at the stadium.
